Welcome to Safe Streets AZ

19 Jun

Safe Streets AZ is a safe place to share your story, get support, and -together- end harassment.

Public and street harassment are some of the most common forms of gender-based violence. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer youth are particularly vulnerable as the result of their perceived sexuality, gender, or sexual orientation.

We believe that harassment shouldn’t be something you have to “just put up with” or “get over,” and that everyone has the right to a harassment-free life.

To that end, Safe Streets AZ is collecting and mapping stories of harassment and providing resources to help make our community safer.

Safe Streets AZ is a program of the Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault (SACASA) and made possible through a grant from the Alliance Fund Queer Youth Initiative.
