Handling Street Harassment

24 Oct

The movie Thelma and Louise may be dated (ok, it is dated, but we love it any way), but the concerns it raises about calling out street harassers are all too current. To call out, and risk retaliation, or let it slide, and worry about the message that sends? Either way, the harassment might escalate, and responding with violence often has dangerous personal and legal outcomes.

Is there a way to ensure safety for the person/people being harassed, and still hold harassers accountable for their actions?
